【TBT】Products covered: Vegetables and derived products (ICS 67.080.20) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 1309/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 1629 "Fried Potato "(9 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that Ministerial Decree No. 515/2005 (10 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/2 dated 14 December 2005, mandated among others the earlier version of the Egyptian Standard.   Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with: - Gulf Standard No. 286/2013 for "French fries" - Indian Standard No. 12575/2010 on “Fried Potato Chips" Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. 【TBT】Products covered: ICS 97.190 (Equipment for children) This addendum concerns the notification of Ministerial Decree No. 1307/2017 ( 2 pages, in Arabic) that gives producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standards: ES 8117-1/2017 "Child use and care articles – baby carriers – safety requirements and test methods - part1: framed back carriers" (22 pages, in Arabic). ES 8117-2/2017 "child use and care articles- baby carriers-safety requirements and test methods-Part 2: soft carrier" (23 pages, in Arabic). Which were formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/165 dated 22 June 2017. Air-conditioners (ICS: 23.120), Heat pumps (ICS 27.080)   This addendum concerns the notification of Ministerial Decree No.1307/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3795-2/2017 "Energy efficiency label requirements for air conditioners - Part: 2- variable capacity Room air conditioner (window - split) with variable speed compressor" (19 pages, in Arabic).   It should be noted that the draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 3795-2 was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/68/Add.2 dated 12 September 2017 and G/TBT/N/EGY/68/Add.3 dated 10 January 2018. Worth mentioning is that this standard repeals ES 3795/2013, It is a local standard. It should be noted that Ministerial Decrees No. 1309/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) cancels the Egyptian standard ES 1602-2/2005 "non-carbonated sweetened drinks part: 2 fruit drinks and artificial drinks".   Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with: - GSO 794/2010 (Fruit Drink) - GSO 2208/2012 (Flavoured Artificial Drinks) Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. ES 1948-4 "Glass in building – laminated glass and laminated safety glass - Part 4: test methods durability" (18 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that Ministerial Decrees No. 423/2005 (25 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/3 dated 14 December 2005, mandated among others the earlier version of the Egyptian Standard ES 1948.
