【TBT】This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 44/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) that extends the product coverage of Ministerial Decree No. 43/2016 which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/114, dated 1 February 2016, to include the following:

To ensure the flow of trade this decree is subject to the general rule that:
Excludes the products that have been shipped or have arrived before the entry into force of the decree.
Excludes the shipments for which credit was opened before the entry into force of the decree without any extension of its validity.
Excludes the contracts concluded, legalized and accredited from Egyptian consulates abroad in case of transfer of at least 10% of its value before the date of entry into force of the decree according to the payment terms stipulated in the Executive Regulation to Implement the Import and Export Law, provided they are implemented in a time period of no longer than a year from the authentication date. The same applies for Invoices which part of their value has been transferred before the date of entry into force of the decree as evident from the bank documents.
Date of adoption: 15 January 2019.
Date of entry into force: 16 January 2019.
