【TBT】Products covered: Water heating equipment (ICS 91.140.65) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.1095/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 5806 "Energy Efficiency Of Household And Similar Electrical Appliances- Methods For Measuring And Calculation Energy Consumption For Electric Water Heaters" (20 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian Standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/224 dated 17 September 2019. Worth mentioning is that this standard has been formulated according to National studies.  Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian Standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/226 dated 17 September 2019. Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of IEC 60669‑1: 2017. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
