【TBT】Products covered: Equipment for children (ICS 97.190) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.1093/2019 (1 page, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 8278 "Child use and care articles - Baby bouncers – Safety requirements and test methods" (16 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/219 dated 17 September 2019. Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with EN 14036:2003. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. 【TBT】Products covered: Materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs (ICS 67.250), Ceramic products (ICS 81.060.20) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.1095/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 923 "ceramic tableware" (24 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian Standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/230 dated 17 September 2019. Worth mentioning is that this draft standard is technically identical with BS 8654:2015 with modification clarified on Annex 2. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
