【TBT】Products covered: ICS 67.040 Food products in general) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 209/2020 (2 pages, in Arabic) which extends the expiry dates to be nine months in case of frozen fish and to be ten months in case of frozen liver from the date of slaughter. This decision is valid until 31 December 2020 which concerns the Egyptian Standard ES 2613-2/2008 for “shelf life for food products part : 2 shelf life” (18 pages, in Arabic)  It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 100/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/212 dated 10 May 2019 mandated among others the earlier version of this Egyptian Standard. Worth mentioning is that this standard has been formulated according to National Studies and its updates. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. Proposed date of adoption: 11 April 2020. Proposed date of entry into force: 29 April 2020. 【TBT】Products covered: Tissue paper (ICS 85.080.20) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 174/2020 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers twelve-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3644 for "paper products (tissue paper)" (16 page(s), in Arabic) It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian Standard was formerly notified in  G/TBT/N/EGY/232 dated 17 October 2019. 【TBT】Products covered: Footwear (ICS 61.060) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 171/2020 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard  ES 3572 for "Sports footwear and its Parts" (28 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that the Ministerial Decrees No. 477/2018 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/191 dated 4 September 2018 mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard, and its draft was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/191/Add.1 dated 17 October 2019. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with: JIS S 5050: Leather shoes. United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) "Acceptable Quality Standards in the Leather and footwear industry" Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with ISO 7886-4:2018. 【TBT】Products covered: Lamps in general (ICS 29.140.01) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 171/2020 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7823 for "Energy efficiency requirements for electrical lamps and luminaries" (38 pages, in English). It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 975/2014 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/76 dated 9 March 2015 mandated among others the earlier version of this Egyptian Standard, and its draft was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/76/Add.1 dated 12 November 2019.    Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with modification with the commission regulation (EU) No 874/2012 and the commission regulation (EU) No 1194/2012. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
