This Working Draft Uganda standard provides practical guidance on how to manage the health and safety hazards and risks related to wood processing industry. Wood processing involves transformation of raw wood into sawn timber, veneer, furniture, paper and engineered wood through milling (sawing, edge trimming), drying and finishing (planning, grading, treatment) to create products for construction, crafts and industry focusing on efficiency, quality and minimising waste.
