This Draft Uganda Standard specifies the requirements for resin-bonded un-faced particleboards.

The standard covers the following types of Particleboards:

General Purpose boards for use in dry conditions;
Boards for interior fitments (including furniture) for use in dry conditions;
Non-load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions1);
Load-bearing boards for use in dry conditions;
Load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions1);
Heavy duty load-bearing boards for use in dry conditions; and
Heavy duty load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions

NOTE 1-The application of this standard will be called up in for construction applications. The values listed in this standard relate to product properties but they are not characteristic values to be used in design calculations.
