This addendum concerns the notification of the draft of Egyptian Standard ES 8205-1 "General requirements for traditional cigarette alternatives - Part:1 Electronic Cigarettes – e- Liquid"(12 pages, in Arabic) (partial amendment in 1 page, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 101/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/207/Add.1 dated 15 May 2019, the Ministerial Decree No. 222/2021 (1 page, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/207/Add.2 dated 31 August 2021, the Ministerial Decree No. 503/2023 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/207/Add.3 dated 4 April 2024, mandated among others the earlier versions of this Standard.

Worth mentioning is that this standard has been partially amended as follows:

Item No.3/6 to be (The volume of liquid in the cartridge (clause 2/4) that contains the e-liquid and is intended for single use and to be fitted on its own heating device shall not exceed 20 ml).
Item No.3/7 to be (The capacity of the e-liquid container integrated within the same product shall not exceed 20 ml).

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
