The aim of this addendum is to update WTO Members that the Draft East African Standard, DEAS 1138:2023 Basic design and operation of abattoir/slaughterhouses —Requirements notified in G/TBT/N/BDI/352, G/TBT/N/KEN/1421, G/TBT/N/RWA/859, G/TBT/N/TZA/944 and G/TBT/N/UGA/1768 was adopted by Uganda on 30 September 2025 as a Uganda Standard, US EAS 1138:2024 Design and operation of slaughterhouse -Requirements (1st Edition). The Standard can be purchased online through the link: https://webstore.unbs.go.ug/
