This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 246 /2025 (5 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian StandardES 4982 "Rolling bearings — Cast and pressed housings for insert bearings — Boundary dimensions and tolerances"; (21 page(s), in English).

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/515 dated 10 January 2025.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of ISO 3228:2013 (confirmed in 2019).

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 11 August 2025.

Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
