This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 246 /2025 (5 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 1497 “Rolling bearings — Static load ratings"; (26 page(s), in English)

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/518 dated 10 January 2025.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of ISO 76:2006 (confirmed in 2020), ISO 76:2006/Amd 1:2017.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 11 August 2025.

Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
