This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 246 /2025 (5 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian StandardES 6373-2 " Plain bearings — Metallic multilayer plain bearings — Part 2: Destructive testing of bond for bearing metal layer thicknesses greater than or equal to 2 mm"; (15 page(s), in English)

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/502 dated 10 January 2025.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of ISO 4386-2:2019

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 11 August 2025.

Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
