This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 246 /2025 (5 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7595 "Child care articles - Drinking equipment - Safety requirements and test methods " (95 pages, in English).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 610/2020 which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/40/Add.1 dated 1 April 2021, mandated among others the earlier version of this standard and the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/40/Add.2 dated 19 February 2025.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of EN 14350:2020+A1:2023.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 11 August 2025.

Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
