This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 246 /2025 (5 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a twelve-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 262-3 "steel for the reinforcement of concrete - part 3: welded fabric"(17 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 535/2015 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/99 dated 24 September 2015, mandated among others the earlier version of this Egyptian Standard, and the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/99/Add.1 dated 9 October 2024.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with ISO 6935-3/2023.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 11 August 2025

Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette
