The Egyptian Standard ES 7821 for " energy efficiency of household electrical appliances - methods for measuring and calculating energy efficiency of electric circulating air fans "

This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.142/2024 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a twelve-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7821 for " energy efficiency of household electrical appliances - methods for measuring and calculating energy efficiency of electric circulating air fans " (20 pages, in Arabic).
It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 975/2014 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/77/Corr.1 dated 1 June 2015 mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard and the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/77/Add.1 dated 4 April 2024.
Worth mentioning is that this standard is harmonized with an Amendment of IEC 60879.
Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
