This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 503/2023 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian standard ES 1251-1 " Wheat flour with its different extraction and methods of analysis and testing part: 1 wheat flour with its different extractions" (partial amendment in 2 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that Ministerial Decree No. 130 /2005 (11 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/1 dated 14 December 2005 mandated among others the earlier version of this Egyptian Standard.

Worth mentioning is that this standard has been formulated according to National Studies.

It is worth noting that this standard has been partially amended as following:

Add new item No. 2/3/8 " Wheat flour extract 85%: It is wheat flour that is 50% free of red tooth and fine and coarse germs.”
Modify item No. 3/12 Ash percentages according to extraction calculated on dry weight.
Modify item No. 4/7 remainder after sieving.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian Standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
