This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.499/2023 (4 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers twelve-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7993 for " energy efficiency label for television and displays"(37 pages, in English).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 102/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/156/Add.3 dated 15 May 2019 mandated among others the earlier version of this Egyptian Standard and the Draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/156/Add.4 dated 19 June 2023.

Worth mentioning is that this standard has been formulated according to National Studies

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
