The Ministerial Decree No. 502 /2023 gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian standard ES 8694 which specifies requirements for portable child-appealing luminaires for use with tungsten filament lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 24 V (SELV).

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of IEC 60598-2-10:2003
