This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 561/2022 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 6788-4 "Intravascular Catheters — Sterile And Single-Use Catheters Part 4: Balloon Dilatation Catheters" (17 page(s), in Arabic).

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/265 dated 21 September 2020.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with ISO 10555‑4/2013 (Confirmed in 2018).

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 17 November 2022

Proposed date of entry into force: 6 December 2022.
