This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 503 /2023 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 1472 "canned salmon fish" (11 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 515/2005 (10 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/2 dated 14 December 2005 mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard.

This standard cancels and supersedes its last edition ES 1472:2005.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with CXS 3-1981 Revised in 1991, 1995. Amended in 2011, 2013 “Codex Standard for Canned Salmon”.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
