Establishes specifications and tests for plastic bags for consumer goods, available at retail outlet. The Standard is applicable to all of the following types of plastic bags: food counter bags, only used for containing food products, and which may be used to weigh those products. Bags for new items, used once only for containing one or more non-food products. Note that in the case of bags which come into contact with food products, the material must comply with the standards in force.
