This Kenya Standard prescribes the requirement and method of test for nutrient-rich concentrated foods, containing high levels of one or more vitamins and minerals. Food supplements as defined in KS CAC/GL 55. Guidelines for vitamin and mineral supplements are not covered in this standard. The revision to the first edition of this standard was aimed at ensuring that that all products containing high levels of any specific nutrients are covered in this standard. Additionally, the revision took in cognizance that not all nutrient-rich foods are used for supplementary foods. This standard therefore cancels and replaces the first edition (KS 1930:2006). ;
