LI 1958, 2009 requires that all refrigerating appliances imported or manufactured for sale in the country must meet the minimum energy efficiency requirement set out in the regulations. The law also requires that appliances must be properly labelled as prescribed in the regulations with the following provided: ; a) Energy efficiency star rating (One star to five star); b)Manufacturer; c)Fresh and frozen food volumes, in litres; d) Annual electricity consumption in Kwh; e) Model number; f) Refrigerant type; g) Climate class (Sub-tropical or tropical). ; The LI 1932, 2008 prohibits a) Manufacture, sale or importation of incandescent filament lamps; b) Importation and sale of used air conditioners; and c) Importation and sale of used refrigerator, refrigerator-freezer and freezer. ;
