The decree mandates that the producers and importers of Kitchen equipment must comply with  ES 5492/2006 which is concerned with the safety requirements in the structure of built - in and free standing kitchen units , work tops and breakfast bars including those with glass in thier construction.Worth mentioning is that  the Egyptian standard is in accordance with  ISO 15717/1998
