This decree mandates that the producers and importers of room air conditioners must comply with ES 3795/2013 "Energy efficiency label for room air conditioner  (window split)" which amends ES 3795/2005  according to discussions  with manufacturers and importers, with regard to testing requirement illustrated in ISO 5151.ES 3795 specifies the requirements for energy efficiency label regarding room air conditioner (window split)", and it sets up a set of rules to evaluate energy efficiency for such air conditioners.The standard also aims to reduce energy consumption and improve environmental conditions through limiting gaseous emission that affects environment resulting from extra increased use of energy.  Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
