This Ministerial Decree mandates that the producers and importers of Liquid synthetic detergents for kitchen and tableware must comply with ES 1562. Producers and importers are given a transitional period of six months to abide by the standard. The Egyptian standard sets the general requirements to be met by liquid detergents (with a basis of materials with surface activity) to be used to clean kitchen utensils and tableware. It also includes examination and testing methods.It complies  with: JIS K 3370/ 1994: Synthetic Detergents for Kitchen; 92/59/EEC; 89/542/EEC; 67/548/EEC; 73/404/EEC; 73/405/EEC; 82/242/EEC; 76/769/EEC; 76/678/EEC; 88/379/EEC; Text Book of Qualitative Chemical Analysis.
