This Ministerial Decree provides producers and importers a transitional period of six months to comply with the modified Egyptian standard ES 495-2/2015 "Office Furniture - Office Work Chair - Part 2: Safety Requirements".This Egyptian standard is to determine the safety requirements for the purpose of office chairs - set operating requirements for 8 hours a day, weighing up to 110 kilograms. For the purpose of hard working conditions additional requirements are added.It complies with BS /EN 1335-2/2009  Office Furniture - Office Work Chair - Part 2: Safety Requirements.
