This draft Uganda Standard specifies tyre dimensions designation and marking requirements; and load ratings. The standard applies to new pneumatic tyres for use on passenger cars. It does not apply to any tyre which has been reconditioned; or to any tyre which has been altered so as to render impossible its use, or its repair for use, as motor vehicle equipment. It also gives laboratory test requirements for bead unseating resistance, strength, endurance and high-speed performance for tyres primarily intended for passengers.
