• This Ministerial Decree mandates that the clearance of&nbsp; shipments of&nbsp; imports of the above mentioned products except for what&nbsp; is imported for private and&nbsp; personal use, is&nbsp; subject to the following alternatives:<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; • Alternative 1: The producer is registered in the Egyptian organization for Export and Import control (GOEIC) according to Article 94 of Ministerial Decree no. 770 for year 2005 and its amendments issuing the Executive Regulation to Implement the Import and Export Law. <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; • Alternative 2:&nbsp; The shipment is accompanied by documented and accredited inspection and review certificate containing the shipment data and the required inspection and testing results stipulating the conformity of the shipment with the relevant accredited Egyptian standards. This certificate should be issued by accredited inspection companies accredited by one of the accredited bodies from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; • Alternative 3: The inspection and review certificate can also be issued by an Egyptian or foreign agency approved by the Minister of Foreign Trade and has accredited and specialized laboratories in the tests required for each product.<br />• In all cases, shipments shall be subject to random inspection by GOEIC.<br />• Dealing with&nbsp;&nbsp; pre-shipment inspection companies or agencies will be suspended for six months in case of non-conformity of the inspection certificates with the results of the random inspection. In case of recurrence, dealing with those companies will be revoked by a decision of the Minister of Foreign Trade.&nbsp; <br />• This Ministerial decree is an addendum to serial no.5 in Annex 3 of Ministerial Decree no. 770 for year 2005 and its amendments issuing the Executive Regulation to Implement the Import and Export Law.
