The Ministerial Decree mandates that the producers and importers must comply with ES 8012 /2016. Producers and importers are given a transitional period of six months to abide by the standard. This standard is concerned with the technical and environmental specification for ovens used for charcoal production - with different techniques from one model to another, but with the same basic principles and rely on cooking isolated from the air in closed ovens - which meet the conditions and requirements of the industry, the environment, safety and occupational health.
