The Ministerial Decree mandates that the producers and importers must abide by ES 7987/2016. A transitional period of six months is given to the producers and importers to comply. This standard applies to: Self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting services with supply voltages not exceeding 50 V a.c. r.m.s. or 120 V ripple free d.c. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with IEC 62838/2015.
