The Ministerial decree mandates that the producers and importers must abide by ES 7993/2016. A transitional period of twelve months is given to abide by the standard. This standard applies to: The energy efficiency class of a television which shall be determined on the basis of its Energy Efficiency Index (EEI)according to the annual power consumption. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with European directive (EU) No. 1062/2010.
