This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 1098/2016 (1 page, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3795-1/2016 "Energy efficiency label requirements for air conditioners - Part: 1 - room air conditioner (window – split) with fixed capacity & fixed compressor" (23 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/68 dated 3 June 2014, mandated among others by the Ministerial Decree No. 180/2003 (3 pages, in Arabic). Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with ISO 5151:2010 and Egyptian Standard ES 4814. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. Proposed date of adoption: 8 November 2016. Proposed date of entry into force: 29 November 2016.
