The Ministerial Decree No.1098/2016 gives the producers and importers a transitional period of six months to abide by the Egyptian standard ES 6685/2016. This Standard specifies a range of fineness of precious metal alloys (excluding solders) recommended for use in the field of jewellery.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with ISO 9202/2014.
