Products covered: Tobacco, tobacco products and related equipment (ICS 65.160) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 1001/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by Egyptian Standards ES 718,612 "Blended Tobacco For Cigarettes" (8 pages in Arabic) which were subjected to partial amendments. Worth mentioning is that Ministerial Decree No.130/2005 (11 pages, in Arabic) notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/1 dated 14 December 2005, mandated among others the earlier versions of those standards. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
