Ministerial Decree No.1002/2017 gives the producers and importers a transitional period of six months to abide by the Egyptian standard ES 164 with its issued parts specifying the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and methods of test for the safety and marking of freestanding and built-in domestic cooking appliances burning the combustible gases.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with EN 30-1-3:2003+A1:2006, EN 30-1-4:2012
