Products covered: Fish and fishery Products (ICS 67.120.30) This addendum concerns the notification of adoption, publication, and entry into force of regulation: Ministerial Decree No. 1001/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the following Egyptian standards: - Egyptian Standard ES 414-1/2017 "Canned Shrimps and Canned Crab Meat- part 1: Canned Shrimps" (10 pages in Arabic). - Egyptian Standard ES 414-2/2017 "Canned Shrimps and Canned Crab meat – part 2: Canned Crab meat " (10 pages, in Arabic). Which were formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/34 dated 30 April 2013, mandated among others by the Ministerial Decree No. 93/2013 (4 pages, in Arabic). Worth mentioning is that these standards comply with: Codex STAN 37-1991 "Standard for Canned Shrimps or Prawns" adopted in 1991. revised: 1995. amended: 2011, 2013, 2016. Codex Stan 90-1981 "Canned crab meat" adopted in 1981. Revised in: 1995, Amended in: 2011, 2013, 2016 Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
