Products covered: Cooking ranges, working tables, ovens and similar appliances (ICS: 97.040.20) This addendum concerns the notification of adoption, publication, and entry into force of regulation: Ministerial Decree No.1002/2017 (3 pages, in Arabic) gives producers and importers a transitional period of twelve months to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 8058:2017 "Energy efficiency of household electrical Appliances methods of measuring and calculating Energy Efficiency of electrical domestic ovens" (14 pages, in Arabic) It should be noted that Ministerial Decree No. 423/2005 (25 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/3 dated 14 December 2005, mandated among others an earlier version of this standard. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with hence identical to IEC 60350-1/2015 Regulation (EU) No 65/2014. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
