Products covered: Prepackaged and prepared foods Including baby food (ICS 67.230) This addendum concerns the notification of adoption, publication, and entry into force of regulation: Ministerial Decree No. 1001/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3284/2017 "Processed Cereal -Based Foods For Infants And Young Children" (15 Pages, In Arabic) Worth mentioning is that Ministerial Decree No. 515/2005 (10 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/2 dated 14 December 2005, mandated among others the earlier version of this standard. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with Codex Standard. No. 74/1981, Rev.1-2006 Standard for "Processed Cereal-Based Foods for Infants and Young Children" Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
