The Ministerial Decree No.1002/2017 gives the producers and importers a twelve-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian standard ES 8057:2017 which is concerned with identifying the specific requirements of energy-efficient electrical household vacuum cleaners, which aims to rationalize electrical energy consumption and improve environmental conditions by reducing emissions which are harmful to the environment caused by the increasing use of energy.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with IEC 62885-2/2016 and Regulation (EU) No 665/2013.
