Products covered: Lamps in general (ICS: 29.140.01) This addendum concerns the notification of adoption, publication, and entry into force of regulation: This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 1000/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7824/2015 "Tubular Led Lamps – Performance Requirements" (44 pages, in English) It should be noted that Ministerial Decree No. 692/2015 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/118 dated 15 February, 2016 mandated among others the earlier version of this standard. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with IEC 62612 "Self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting services with supply voltages > 50 V - Performance requirements" and IEC 60081 "Double-capped fluorescent lamps - Performance specifications". Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
