Air-conditioners (ICS: 23.120), Heat pumps (ICS 27.080) This addendum concerns the notification of Ministerial Decree No.1307/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3795-2/2017 "Energy efficiency label requirements for air conditioners - Part: 2- variable capacity Room air conditioner (window - split) with variable speed compressor" (19 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that the draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 3795-2 was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/68/Add.2 dated 12 September 2017 and G/TBT/N/EGY/68/Add.3 dated 10 January 2018. Worth mentioning is that this standard repeals ES 3795/2013, It is a local standard. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
