This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.1308/2017 ( 2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7774/2017" Self-ballasted LED-lamps for general lighting services by voltage > 50 V - Safety specifications" (30 pages, in Arabic) It should be noted that Ministerial Decrees No. 692/2015 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/133 dated 9 March 2016, mandated among others the earlier version of the Egyptian Standard. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with IEC 62560:2011+AMD1/2015 Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
