The Ministerial Decree No. 478/2018 gives the producers and importers a one-year transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 4900 which specifies the requirements for non-liquid industrial detergents (powders), which are used for washing textiles and garments by hand and automatic.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is identical with EEC 59/92, EEC 405/73, EEC 242/82, EEC 542/89, EEC 379/88.
