Air-conditioners (ICS: 23.120), Heat pumps (ICS 27.080) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 477/2018 (3 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3795-2 "Energy efficiency label requirements for air conditioners - Part: 2 - variable capacity Room air conditioner (window - split) with variable speed compressor" (19 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that Ministerial Decrees No. 180/2013 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/68 dated 3 June 2014, and ministerial decree no. 1307/2018 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/68/Add.4 dated 21 February 2018, mandated among others the earlier versions of Egyptian Standard ES 3795. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with iso 5151/2010 and Egyptian Standard ES 4814. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
