The Ministerial Decree No. 478/2018 gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 958-1 which is concerned with the general requirements of reinforced concrete pipes without internal pressure, which are used for agricultural irrigation and drainage, sanitary drainage, industrial and rainwater, as well as for the construction of similar purposes.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is identical with ASTM C76/2015.
