The Ministerial Decree No. 477/2018 gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7322 which specifies the basic specifications for the health and safety of products made of all kinds of raw materials, whether natural leather, industrial alternatives, synthetic leather, polymers, fabric, or a mixture of them.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is identical with Commission Regulation (EC) No 552/2009 Amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
