This Draft Rwanda standard prescribes the recommended procedure for the handling, collection, transportation and disposal of solid waste to ensure safety of operatives, passers-by, animals and the environment.
Domestic, commercial and industrial solid waste is part of this standard.
Waste from health-care units is covered in RS 208.
Construction and demolition waste is covered in RS 367.
Electrical and Electronic wastes (E-waste) are covered in RS 276 (Part 1 and 2).
