The Ministerial Decree No. 103/2019 gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3189-1 which is applicable to all a focal (Plano power) sunglasses and clip-ons for general use, including road use and driving, intended for protection against solar radiation.

It should be noted that this standard cancels and supersedes the Egyptian Standard ES 3189/2007 "Sun glare eye protectors for general use" (34 pages, in Arabic).

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical to ISO 12312-1/2013, Amd1:2015.
