Air-conditioners (ICS: 23.120); Heat pumps (ICS 27.080) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 102/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3795-5 "Energy efficiency label requirements for air conditioner Part 5: Fixed capacity ducted Room air conditioner with fixed speed compressor " (18 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that Ministerial Decree No. 180/2003 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/68 dated 3 June 2014, mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard. Worth mentioning is that this standard has been formulated according to National studies. Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. Proposed date of adoption: 7 February 2019. Proposed date of entry into force: 7 March 2019.
